How does it work?
Register for a class at a location and on a date that works for you, or try an online module for independent learning. We regularly post new upcoming classes in locations throughout the western United States.

How do I prepare?
Register for a class and pay online
On the day of class, each student should
Wear comfortable clothes so arms and legs can be exposed for skills practice
Bring 1 box disposable gloves and a pair of trauma shears
Fill out the evaluation form after class to receive continuing education credit through the AAFP

We hold 1-day classes for a total of 8 hours and 2-day classes for a total of 12 hours.

You can sign up to receive updates about upcoming classes or ask your healthcare organization to sponsor a class. We provide onsite training for healthcare organizations when there are at least 6 participants.

There will be a morning and afternoon break as well as a 30 minute lunch break. We will have some light snacks available. Participants are encouraged to bring lunch or purchase it nearby.

Our classes are appropriate for healthcare professionals that provide non-surgical musculoskeletal care.

MTN is an approved provider through the AAFP for continuing education credits for physicians (family medicine, emergency medicine), APPs, nurses and medical assistants. Athletic Trainers may receive category D credit for MTN educational activities at this time. Activities will be designated as qualifying for prescribed or elective credit.
AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed credit, not as Category 1.
Note: This equivalency agreement is not intended to bypass ACCME accreditation, which is required to designate AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
AAFP Prescribed credit is approved for CME activities that have been designed primarily for physicians and have had AAFP member input.AFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the following organizations. Participants contact them directly about how participants should report the credit they earned.

At the end of the training session, participants will be given a link to a course evaluation. After completing the course evaluation, participants will receive a certificate of completion indicating the number of hours of participation (up to an eligible maximum amount) . The certificate may be used as documentation to claim CE hours for their relevant organization. It is up to the participant to report their individual hours to their credentialing or certifying body.
